conceptual design, checking of construction design
Two single-span, obliquely angled, monolithic concrete frame-bridges cross the highway A8 between Stuttgart and Karlsruhe.
The span of the bridges is 60 and 70 m respectively, and the cross section takes two automobile traffic lanes and one for pedestrians and cyclists.
The bridge deck is monolithically connected to the abutments and is supported by two arch-shaped diaphragm walls.
The box abutments are founded on large concrete piles with a monolithic connection to the bridge superstructure.
Length: 65 and 75 m
Spans: 60 and 70 m
Height: 7 m
Material: concrete, reinforcement steel
