This bridge is designed as a real suspension bridge. The precipices of the Danube-Valley allow a direct anchorage of the main cables, without pylons. The super-structure is designed as a steel compound construction with one central steel box girder and steel cross girders. Each of the main cable bundles is made of 12 fully locked and heavy galvanized cables. The result is a very slender and transparent construction, perfectly adapting to the beautiful landscape of the Danube valley.
