The new sport and wellness bath was to receive an additional attraction with the operable roof, which combines the benefits of an indoor and outdoor pool. The bath complex consists of a generous indoor area with a sport swimming pool, a wellness and a children’s pool, as well as an outer area with further pools, lawns and a sauna garden. Attached to the pool is a single story structure (80 × 15m), in which the entry hall with foyer, the changing rooms, rest rooms, showers, administration, sauna, solarium, and the restaurant can be found. The hall is enclosed with transparent pressurized air ETFE-foil cushions. A wooden structure consisting of long span glue-lam creates the load bearing structure of the hall. In the central region, at a width of 24 m, the roof girders of the indoor swimming pool extend over the entry building which allows for the expansive opening of the roof.
