The fabrication building Medical F was expanded without interrupting operations by a new building attached to the existing one. Construction design had to consider special clean-room-technology requirements as well as high floor loads for machinery and equipment (up to 35kN/m²). The building was constructed as a reinforced concrete structure with exposed concrete. The roof structure consists of diamond-shaped intersecting steel beams with hanging technical platforms. Standardized structural components were designed as pre-cast, or respectively partially pre-cast, elements due to the very short construction time of only 17 months.
