With elegant swing, the slender, yet powerful bridge overcrosses the A8 Stuttgart – Munich autobahn. It reflects the internal stresses, the melting of form and flow of forces, duly transposed into concrete. The 80 m long and 6.5 m wide slab is supported by two inclined struts that amount to a raked frame, and in the middle it is supported by tendons encased in concrete. According to the moment diagram the profile in the midspan is reinforced parabolically and dissolved in a 5 – web T-beam.
