The footbridge crosses the highly frequented Neckarstrasse without columns and connects a public pathway, which leads through a new hotel building, and the garden of the castle. The main cables are anchored on both sides of the hotel’s entrance hall. On the opposite side – slightly higher – are they anchored at the side of a concrete slab. The slab made of reinforced concrete conducts the horizontal forces back to the hotel. The hanger cables as endless double strands and the post anchorage at the lower side of the slab are especially suited for the short cables at the drawbar. By their appearance they clearly reveal the slab, lying in the hanger cables.
