A single membrane spans the Stadium. It is lifted at 13 individual points using cables and suspended from a guyed mast. The membrane strips, which are positioned in a radial pattern, and are made of stronger material than the parallel strips of the main surface, are surrounded by double polyester belts that transfer the load to the 6 spiral cables.
