We were honoured with the opportunity to have taken part on the inauguration ceremony of the pedestrian bridge over the “Langen See” last September 30th.
The ceremony counted with the participation of the Böblingen/Sindelfingen community and the presence of Mr. Brenner (Zweckverband’s Director), Mr. Lützner (Böblingen’s Mayor), Mr. Vöhringer (Sindelfingen’s Mayor), Andreas Keil (sbp’s Partner and Managing Director) and Tobias Waldraff (sbp’s design engineer).
schlaich bergermann partner is pleased to have successfully delivered, together with the construction companies Karl Köhler and Stahlbau Urfer, a project that can now be enjoyed as a new landmark for the new common urban district of Böblingen and Sindelfingen.
The bridge was erected using a cantilevering method and is an asymmetric cable stayed bridge with a double curved steel pylon and a composite superstructure. More technical details of the project will be soon available on our website.
