When it comes to an inauguration of a new building a good feng shui is very important in Malaysia. That’s why the Darul Hana Bridge was inaugurated on November 11th, at 11:11 pm. The bridge over the Sarawak River in Kuching connects the historic center with the commercial district. The cable stayed bridge is supposed to become an attraction for locals and tourists. Therefore, it features two inclined masts with seating areas, which offer a spectacular panoramic view.
The s-shaped construction consists of a steel tube truss deck and spans 355 meters in total. Construction started in 2013, whereas sbp was responsible for the checking engineering.
The construction of the bridge is said to be an important step towards modern city development. Therefore, the name “Darul Hana” stands for peace and silence which the pedestrian could feel by passing the river. An impressive firework concluded this event, which highlighted the fascinating construction.
