Mike Schlaich was recently appointed new member in the field of Technological Science of Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW) among three other scientists. BBAW is an association of outstanding scholars and scientists across national and disciplinary boundaries. With its 300-year long tradition it already includes 79 Nobel Prize winners, such as Albert Einstein, Wilhelm and Alexander Humboldt, Lise Meitner and Max Planck.
The largest non-university research institute of humanities in the Berlin-Brandenburg region preserves and reveals the region´s cultural inheritance by researching about and consulting on issues of importance to society and offering a panel for dialogue between scholarship and public.
