Together with Hatch Mott Mac Donald our office in New York won the competition for the “Boy Scout Bridge,” a pedestrian bridge at the Bechtel Family National Scouting Reserve in West Virginia. A Two walk-able steel cable strands carry the 250 m long suspension foot bridge. The cables run over columns that fan out and span underneath the bridge deck at the center. This bridge will become an attraction for the National Scout Jamboree Event 2014 in West Virginia.
