The HelioTrough, a parabolic trough collector for solar thermal power plants developed by schlaich bergermann und partner jointly with partners, has been voted for the award ‘CSP innovation’ from the participants of the 4th Concentrated Solar Power Conference in San Francisco. As compared to current collectors the HelioTrough is characterized by higher optical efficiency and, at the same time, lower costs.
