Not quite finished but nearly so, the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi officially opened on July 27th. Despite difficult conditions, it will be ready on October 3rd for the start of the Commonwealth Games, where the stadium will play host to the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the track & field competitions.
