Our pedestrian and cycle bridge over the Rhine-Herne Canal in Gelsenkirchen has won the 2010 European Steel Bridges Award. On the occasion of an international symposium, in conjunction with Steel Days and the annual meeting of the ECCS, 1st prize in the “Pedestrian Bridges” category will be awarded on September 1st by the jury of the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork.
