“Slinky Springs to Fame” is the name of the sculpture made by the artist Tobias Rehberger, which will connect the Oberhausen Castle, “Kaisergarten” and Emscher Island in the Rhine-Herne-Channel. This special foot- and bicycle bridge consists of a stress ribbon construction around which a 7 km long spiral winds – a unique design that posted a major challenge for all involved. We are pleased that the construction is making great progress and already attracts and impresses many spectators.
