The nominations of the Bundesingenieurkammer (German Federal Chamber of Engineers) and the Verband Beratender Ingenieure – VBI (German Association of Consulting Engineers) for the “Deutscher Brueckenbaupreis” have been announced (www.brueckenbaupreis.de). Amongst them is the footbridge Harbour Grimberg across the Rhine-Herne canal in Gelsenkirchen. The prize shall be awarded on the 12. March 2012 in Dresden as part of the Dresdner Brueckenbausymposium.
