Conceptual design, detailed design, site supervision
In 2002, power plants based on parabolic trough technology produced a total of 354 MW of electrical power. A European consortium has developed, built and tested a cost effective and lightweight collector, the EuroTrough. Within this consortium, schlaich bergermann und partner were responsible for design, engineering and construction. A collector is 6 m wide and 150 m long. Single collectors are interconnected into large collector fields.
