Scope of our work
Conceptual design, analysis, detailed design, site supervision including structural, mechanical and electrical engineering, commissioning
The two EuroDish systems on the Spanish-German solar test center
Plataforma Solar de Almería are the first ones with a novel composite
concentrator from fiberglass reinforced plastic. The systems are
characterized by an improved Stirling engine and a technically mature
drive and control system. The units are used, among other things, to
test new and improved components and are operated continuously
in co-operation with the DLR (German Aerospace Centre).
Concentrator diameter: 8.5 m
Reflecting area: 57 m²
Average concentration factor: 2400
Suspension: azimuthal
Control system: fully automatic, PC/microcontroller
Remote control: via Internet
Stirling Engine: SOLO Stirling 161
Type: 2 cylinder 90° V, single acting
Working gas: Hydrogen
