Andreas Schnubel studied civil engineering at the University of Stuttgart until 2003, specializing in structural engineering and materials science. During his advanced studies, he gained valuable experience at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation (IPA). After obtaining his degree, he initially worked as a freelance engineer on projects in France, Ireland, Iran, South Korea, and China.
In addition to his specialized knowledge in the planning of complex roof structures for stadiums, such as the Al Thumama Stadium in Doha, the expansion of the Gabriel Montpied Stadium in Clermont-Ferrand and the Allianz Stadium in Sydney, he contributes extensive experience in structural planning for complex steel and timber structures, such as the German Pavilion for the Expo 2020 in Dubai. Furthermore, he possesses in-depth knowledge in bridge design, as demonstrated by the Footbridge in Bad Hersfeld. Besides that he is responsible for internal tasks such as the quality management and the development of design tools at sbp.
