To strengthen our team, we are looking for an engineer for drive technology in the field of solar technologies and plants.
Your tasks
In your position as a drive technology engineer (m/f/d) for solar technologies and plants, your area of responsibility in projects of parabolic trough and solar tower power plants as well as photovoltaic power plants includes the analysis and elaboration of drive technology solutions. You will play a key role in the associated development of support structures and work on interfaces with electrical and control engineering. In addition, your tasks include the testing and evaluation of laboratory and field tests.
You will be part of a highly motivated, agile and interdisciplinary team that includes physicists and energy engineers as well as mechanical, drive and electrical engineers. By developing, designing and implementing innovative solar concepts, you will be working at the cutting edge of technology, gaining new insights on a daily basis and continuously expanding your expertise. You will manage and develop projects worldwide and responsibly integrate them into the overall strategy of sbp sonne in close coordination with the management. You will be responsible for communicating with external partners and customers and will be an important sparring partner for your team.
Your Profile
- degree in electrical engineering (focus on electrical drive technology), mechatronics or similar
- several years of professional experience in the field of electronic and electromechanical drive technology
- profound knowledge of control engineering and ideally of hydraulic drive technology
- good understanding of static and steel structures
- solid knowledge of mechanics and kinematics is an asset
- enthusiasm for renewable energies, especially solar energy
- experience in project management and working in interdisciplinary teams is an asset
- innovative thinking, creativity and the willingness to leave your own comfort zone
- excellent language skills of written and spoken English
