6. Symposium Ingenieurbaukunst

On November 28, 2024, Mike Schlaich, board member of schlaich bergermann partner, will take part in the 6th Annual Symposium Ingenieurbaukunst – Design for Construction in Berlin. Together with Tim Lorenz, Vice President of the Infrastructure Construction Industry, Dr. Heinrich Bökamp, President of the Federal Chamber of Engineers and Reiner Nagel, Chairman of the Board of the Federal Foundation for Building Culture, he will discuss the topic of construction and materials with a low carbon footprint. The focus of the symposium is on climate-friendly and reliable infrastructures.

After an introduction to a public welfare-oriented expansion, young engineers will discuss a value foundation for a changing engineering culture. Insights on sustainable planning, digitalization for climate protection, bridge preservation, and holistic evaluation of roads will follow. With experts and based on current projects, the dialogue in the construction industry on future issues will be enriched. The day will conclude with the ceremony for the German Engineering Award 2024.
