Double success at the Footbridge Awards 2025

We are delighted to have won two prizes at the Footbridge Awards 2025!

Our Rathausbrücke in Tuttlingen and the Williams Crossing Pedestrian Bridge in Tulsa (USA) both received awards.

The Rathausbrücke in Tuttlingen received the Joint Winners award in the “Short Span” category! The new foot and cycle bridge over the Danube impresses with its elegant design and hybrid construction made of wood, concrete, and steel. The new bridge construction goes hand in hand with the redesign of the riverbanks. It represents an important connection between the northern residential areas and Tuttlingen’s city center.

The Williams Crossing Pedestrian Bridge, designed by schlaich bergermann partner, won in the “Medium Span” category. The semi-integral bridge is constructed with a slender arch made of weather-resistant steel that is just under 8 cm thick, making it the first multi-span arch bridge in the United States.

Tulsa’s new landmark features a particularly wide bridge deck and numerous seating areas for visitors to linger. From here, visitors have an impressive panoramic view of the city skyline, the Arkansas River, and the surrounding parks. On the west side of the river lies the park project called “The Gathering Place”. Thanks to the Williams Crossing Pedestrian Bridge, it is optimally connected to the surrounding neighborhoods and recreational areas.

Congratulations to the planning teams and everybody involved!
