Jinan Football Center Reaches Next Milestone

The installation of the cable net for the inner roof of the Jinan Football Center has been successfully completed. With this step, the inner tension roof structure is now fully in place, based on the roof design by schlaich bergermann partner, the architectural vision of HPP Architekten GmbH, and in close cooperation with BIAD.

Next, a special PTFE mesh membrane will be installed to ensure sufficient natural daylight on the pitch and to create optimal growing conditions for the grass.

The stadium features a combination of an outer truss structure, an internal pre-stressed cable net system and a tension ring. It will accommodate a total of 60,000 spectators. The main roof structure consists of a cantilevered steel construction with an impressive span of 45 meters, complemented by an inner cable net with an additional span of 43 meters.

Commissioning of the stadium is planned for 2026. We are already looking forward to seeing the result of this exceptional project and would like to thank everyone involved in making this complex and iconic structure a reality.
