On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 7:00 PM, Prof. Dr. Mike Schlaich, Board Member at schlaich bergermann partner, will give a lecture at the KutscherHaus Berlin titled “EGNGAMTE – Walls, Ceilings, and Bridges.”
The event is hosted by Architekturpreis Berlin e. V. in cooperation with the law firm ZIRNGIBL and BIM Berliner Immobilienmanagement GmbH.
The lecture will focus on pioneering research projects by sbp that address the reduction of CO₂ emissions in concrete construction. Among others, the projects concap and Infraleichtbeton will be presented, both of which offer innovative approaches to resource-efficient building.
Prof. Schlaich will explain how these developments not only provide ecological benefits but can also improve efficiency in the construction process.
Following the lecture, there will be an opportunity for informal exchange over drinks and snacks.
Sustainable research is increasingly influencing construction practices – the lecture aims to provide food for thought and demonstrate how scientific insights can be translated into built reality.
