A building complex was created for the development, planning, production and worldwide distribution of Fohhn sound systems, in which all functions from development to distribution and assembly are logistically linked.
The administration building was designed as a three-storey solid construction with flat ceilings, load-bearing wall panels and slender reinforced concrete columns. The ceilings consist of wide-span, pre-stressed reinforced concrete hollow core slabs. The load-bearing exterior walls were planned as core-insulated hollow reinforced concrete walls, while the load-bearing interior walls were also planned as hollow reinforced concrete walls or made of large-format glass concrete elements.
The two-storey audio laboratories in double-shell reinforced concrete construction are completely acoustically separated from the rest of the building.
The single-storey assembly hall consists of a three-bay steel frame construction with trapezoidal sheet metal roofing.
A warehouse, also a steel frame construction, with a gallery ceiling made of steel girders and a cross laminated timber plate as well as a roof made of trapezoidal sheet metal completes the new building complex.
All buildings are based on individual and strip foundations.
