The historic 19th-century glass roof at Rue Vieille du Temple 108 covers the main exhibition space of Galerie Zwirner and is topped by a skylight.
The primary and secondary supporting structures consist of wrought iron profiles. The columns are an integral part of the main structure and also support the adjacent buildings.
sbp conducted comprehensive studies of the historic glass roof structure in preparation for planned modernization measures, including acoustics, thermal insulation, and fire protection. These investigations enabled the identification of historically significant elements relevant to the modernization and the assessment of necessary upgrades.
The roof structure was subsequently completely dismantled. Due to the presence of lead in various paint layers, a detailed work and safety plan for refurbishment was developed and strictly followed.
