SAP Garden

© sbp/Florian Oberhaidinger

The new multifunctional arena, which hosts ice hockey and basketball matches, is located in the immediate vicinity of the world-famous Olympiapark ensemble in Munich.
The main structure of the SAP Garden stands out as an oval, independent building and blends respectfully into the surrounding park landscape. The green roof and the vertically structured facade strengthen this impression. The facade is defined by a vertical lamella structure that swings upwards above the glazed entrance. It consists of pilaster strips made of aluminum, which strongly determine the exterior appearance. The embedded training areas are modeled to form a greened hill.
