schlaich bergermann partner’s office in Stuttgart has an opportunity for a BIM Manager for international projects for immediate hire!


As a motivated team player you will share our enthusiasm for design and construction. You will contribute to the structural analysis and the engineering of fascinating international projects, with an emphasis on special and lightweight structures.


You will be responsible for the implementation of BIM applications and expansions within our international project work and assure the achievement of our BIM objectives. This means you are decisively contributing to structural changes in our office. You will enforce the implementation of project specific BIM standards and processes together with your project teams. As part of our BIM expansion vision your responsibility will be to train the project team and promote knowledge exchange internally. You will also represent our office with regards to our BIM activities in an international environment. 


Your project specific tasks contain the evaluation of BIM requirements and contract documents. This also includes the coordination of those outcomes with external project partners. 

In addition, you will be responsible for the implementation of corresponding BIM processes within the projects. You will evaluate building models and communicate the results between project partners. You will guide your project team through the enforcement of BIM processes and you will assist in other software related questions.


To be considered for this role you must: 

  • be able to legally work in Germany, without any kind of restrictions
  • have a completed academic degree as a Civil Engineer or Architect (Diploma or Master) and you have undertaken further trainings in BIM
  • have a sound experience using BIM technology and its implementation in an international context
  • have relevant experience with BIM in civil engineering using CAD / BIM software (particularly Revit)
  • be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels to establish their needs whilst maintaining a dialogue throughout the project
  • have full proficiency in English
