This year’s prize for outstanding material (materialPREIS) was awarded on Wednesday evening by the material agency raumprobe in Stuttgart. The prize awards innovative materials and their use in design and architecture. Fascinating projects like a facade made of cork (rundzwei Architekten) and a library consisting of insulating concrete walls (Steimle Architekten) were represented amongst the winning designs.
We are very honored that our stainless steel footbridge in Ditzingen convinced the jury in the category “Material”. The jury honored our design as “a highly spectacular, complex bridge structure, indeed an innovative sculpture […], which convinces with aesthetic and constructive detailed solutions. An important project.”. The award confirms our aim to contribute to Baukultur.
