Our Scope

schlaich bergermann partner is active in all areas of structural engineering. Our scope of services includes all project phases from concept to completion— spanning from preliminary studies and detailed design to erection engineering and supervision of fabrication and construction. We seek the best project outcomes by actively following our design principles: lightness, resource efficiency and design quality.

Technically innovative

From idea to implementation, we work holistically to find technically innovative solutions. We aim to combine beauty and elegance with economy and durability in our structures. Through our cross-material and cross-construction thinking, we are constantly developing new ideas and approaches. In many projects, we use nontraditional materials such as textile membranes, carbon and infralight concrete. As designers, we support the search for the best solution for each individual project task.

Form-Finding

We dedicate ourselves to geometry development, form-finding and structural optimization. Beginning from the first sketch to the final design, we focus on the functionality and context of the structure. Thanks to our interdisciplinary team, there are no limits to our creativity. Our sbp tools were invented and developed internally to help in all areas of design and realization.

We establish synergies

Thanks to our close university ties to academia and research, we are able to include experimental investigations in our project work. Whether material tests, component tests or wind tunnel tests—we have the resources to test our ideas directly.

Our work as test engineers and our decades of experience with sbp sonne in the field of solar technologies constantly creates new synergies that are of great importance for new areas of knowledge.
