The history of schlaich bergermann partner began more than 40 years ago in the heart of Stuttgart. To this day, we have strong ties to the capital of Baden-Württemberg and have our headquarters here.

We have been located in Berlin since 2005. After Mike Schlaich was appointed professor at the Technical University of Berlin, Department of Design and Construction - Solid Structures, and was also recognized as a test engineer for structural analysis, the establishment of the office in Berlin was a logical step for us.

The successful participation in the competition for the construction of the new One World Trade Center was the cornerstone for our office foundation in New York City in 2004. In the meantime, we have been centrally located in the Garment District for many years and experience intensive collaboration with our team here in our open, light-flooded office.

For more than 10 years, our engineers in our office in São Paulo have been facing all challenges in the fields of architecture, engineering and energy with motivation and commitment. Deeply rooted and with a fundamental knowledge of local procedures and customs, we look forward to new tasks.

schlaich bergermann partner has been involved in construction projects in Asia for over 20 years. The establishment of our office in Shanghai was the logical step for us to be present on site for our clients and planning partners. The focus is on extraordinary and challenging architecture in the field of bridges, exhibition halls, sports facilities and high-rise buildings.

With now more than 15 years of project work in France, the Benelux countries, North Africa and Switzerland, our francophone team has an outstanding wealth of experience, so much so that we established our office in Paris at the beginning of 2015.

For more than 30 years we have been active in Spanish-speaking countries and with Spanish partners all over the world. Our office in Madrid enables us to provide intensive support to our friends, planning partners and projects directly on site. In our centrally located office, opposite the Parque de El Retiro, our experienced team designs and plans innovative engineering structures. In addition to sports facilities, bridges and facades, building structures and roofing fill our project portfolio.

With our growing presence in Los Angeles, we bring additional expertise to the West Coast of the United States for our clients and partners. Working in close coordination with our New York office, we look to bring exciting structures to life.
