There was a great deal of interest in the 2015 open competition: from more than 160 proposals, the jury chose the one submitted by the rather small office Sturm+Wartzeck from Hessen. Experienced in timber construction, they realized a hybrid building that is related to the forest, but for this reason is constructively very demanding, in which innovative wood materials and steel play the main role.
