The Architecture Guide Germany 2022 offers a general view of 98 buildings, both large and small, prominently situated and hidden away, striking and modest, buildings and ensembles in metropolitan regions, medium-sized cities, small towns and rural areas. All of them were recently realized and researched by the Deutsches Architekturmuseum in cooperation with external experts.
Featured are residential buildings, including conceptual approaches to changing lifestyles, cultural buildings of various scales, designs of public spaces as well as innovative transportation buildings and, despite the omnipresence of home offices, innovative office buildings – which have by no means been created only in the big cities. The increasing commitment of architectural firms to building in a greener, more resource-conscious and climate-friendly way can also be seen in the selected projects.
