For more than 30 years, schlaich bergermann und partner has been an independent engineering office active in the area of renewable energy. Already after the first oil crisis in 1973, we have been working on concepts and ideas for solar power generation and have gained experience in the design, construction and operation of solar thermal power plants in the framework of first projects in Germany and abroad. Some of our other building projects realised in those days, such as the 2nd Hooghly River Bridge in Calcutta/India, showed us that there can be no prosperity and human existence without sufficient energy supply.
