On 16.10.2020 the key for the new Visitor and Information Center (BIZ) of the Black Forest National Park was officially handed over to the park administration. After a test run, the center is scheduled to open under corona conditions in March 2021 with limited accessibility (400 daily visitors) and not open without restrictions until June. Planning and construction of the facility with a usable area of over 3,000 m² had been underway since 2015.
