Decarbonisation in construction, especially in concrete construction, is an important milestone on the way to sustainable building. Together with partners, the Concrete Information Centre is organising the symposium “The Future of Building with Concrete”. It will discuss how sustainable and climate-friendly construction with cement and concrete is already possible today and what strategies there are for the future.
sbp Managing Director Boris Reyher will speak about building with infra-lightweight concrete and show how the high-performance concrete promises durable, sustainable and attractive buildings due to its low dry density as a load-bearing thermal insulation. Monolithic structures made of exposed concrete can once again meet economic and ecological requirements.
Other representatives from the design, research and public sector will be present and present their goals on the way to sustainable construction. Questions of economic efficiency, recycling and the availability of the necessary resources will also be discussed.
