Together with Gruber + Popp Architekt:innen BDA, schlaich bergermann partner is pleased to announce its competition win for the Martinsried bus station near Munich. Our design convinced the citizens in an online survey, the municipal council as well as the technical committees.
The proposed roof structure with a square grid thus forms a visual unit with the subway station designed by the architects a well. The light and elegant roof with a regular grid of 1.80 meters serves as a statically optimized basic grid with ideal size for photovoltaic modules. Thus, the new roof of the bus station in Martinsried will not only provide shelter, but also produce solar power.
