We are very proud that the “Metro Station Elbbrücken” was awarded a commendation of the German Civil Engineering Award 2020 (Deutscher Ingenieurbaupreis 2020). Two years ago the “Rotes Steigle” near Stuttgart also received this highly prestigious award.
As a counterpart to the historic bridges, the new stop is characterized by a significant steel structure made of curved frame girders – a constructive civil engineering structure is being constructed in a modern way. The award is one of the most important prizes for civil engineers in Germany and was presented for the third time this year.
