Together with Stéphane Aurel Architecture, our Paris office has won the competition for the expansion of Terminal 2 at Nice Airport. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to participate in the redesign of the third largest airport in France. The building complex, originally designed by Paul Andreu, has already been extended several times in recent years and is now to be made fit for the future due to the increasing number of passengers.
In addition to the planning of all steel structures for the extension of the terminal building as well as an associated pedestrian bridge, we are also responsible for the design of the striking mosaic facade. In addition, we are working with TPFi, who are responsible for the concrete structure and the foundations.
Construction is already scheduled to start at the end of next year.
