With no less than three awards, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) was recognized at the 2021 CTBUH Awards. The bank’s new headquarters in Beijing received two Awards of Excellence in the categories “Best Tall Building under 100 meters” and “Best Tall Office Building”. In addition, the office building was selected as winner in the category “Best Tall Building Asia”. schlaich bergermann partner supported the architects von Gerkan, Marg und Partner (gmp) in the design of the high-rise building and was responsible for the structural design.
In a total of 28 categories, the Council on Tall Buildings & Urban Habitat (CTBUH) recognized in this year projects and individuals worldwide who have made an exceptional contribution to the advancement of tall buildings and urban space.
