Parabolic trough power plant Solar Island of ISCC Kuraymat

Kuraymat, Egypt, 2009

The hybrid power plant uses both natural gas and solar power to produce a total output of 150 MW electrical power and can therefore operate 24 hours a day. The solar field consists of parabolic trough collectors with a total mirror aparture area of 130,000 square meters. Each solar collector assembly (SCA) consists of 12 solar collector elements (SCEs) which are 12 m long each.
