Cabot Circus Bristol

The city at Broadmead Bristol with department store, retail buildings and a leisure centre is redeveloped and sheltered using glassed roofs. The central roof is a single layer doubly curved grid shell of a domed shape without additional cable trusses underneath the shell. The several street roofs are single layer double curved grid shells which act more like barrel vaults. The street roofs are only supported at the two longitudinal edges.
