Silk Road International Exhibition Center

The exhibition complex consists of ten buildings with exhibition halls arranged in double rows. Their symmetrical design is emphasized by a common curved roof. The central exhibition hall behind the entrance canopy has a roof with a larger span of 90 meters. The supporting structure is doubly symmetrical. Underneath all the buildings is a large parking garage that covers the entire area. All load-bearing elements, especially the bracing cores, walls and columns, pass through the basement and transfer their loads to the pile foundations. The main access to the site is through the huge cantilevered canopy that dominates the facility and is visible from afar.
