Two single-span, obliquely angled, monolithic concrete frame bridges cross the highway A8 between Stuttgart and Karlsruhe.
The cross section includes two traffic lanes as well as one for pedestrians and cyclists. The bridge deck is monolithically connected to the abutments and is supported by two arch-shaped diaphragm walls. The box abutments are founded on large concrete piles with a monolithic connection to the bridge superstructure.
