A translucent lightweight glass roof in the shape of a wave spans the inner court yard of the Petrobras Oil Exploitation and Operation Unit’s headquarters of Bacia de Santos, located in the historic port district of Santos. The roof consists of triangular glass panes laid out on a regular grid. Structural trees support the roof canopy. As the trees’ branches provide an efficient load bearing structure, only very few support points are required at floor space level.
