Customer Service Center Porsche Leipzig

© Michael Pfisterer

The Customer Service Center was constructed on the premises of the Porsche AG in Leipzig. It consists of two parts: a one-storey, H-shaped base structure where the vehicles are delivered and a conical tower housing, the visitors’ and event areas. The tower penetrates the flat base structure and then flares upwards to a diameter of 56 m. It is composed of an inner circular reinforced concrete core with eccentric core walls surrounded by a skeleton structure consisting of reinforced concrete-steel-composite slabs and steel supports. The supports located beneath the facade in direction of the generatrix dissolve into V-shaped supports in the visitor’s area of the tower. Cast steel elements make up the top- and base-points of these supports, which follow the flow of forces.
